Hello everyone! I can hardly believe that we’re just a couple of weeks away from the end of the year. Where did 2017 go?! Here in Georgia we’ve just about thawed out from some unusual early December snow, which was wonderful… for about a day, haha. Initially we were having so much fun with all the snowball fights and building snowmen. Seeing my daughters’ faces light up as the first snowflakes came down was just magical.
But then the power went out (typical where we live) and didn’t come back on again until the next day. Let’s just say that dinner by candlelight is not in the least bit romantic when it involves an infant and a four year old! Oh, and how we all loved spending the night without heating!
I should probably apologize for being complainy, but as a Brit I’m pretty sure that it’s my birthright to grumble about the weather 😉
Anyhow… the cooler temperatures of course mean that it’s time to bundle up and bring out the winter gear. And when it comes to cold weather style, you really can’t go wrong with a festive sweater, thick coat and some cute, cozy boots in my opinion.
I recently snagged a few new items while doing my holiday shopping, and wanted to share my favorites with you!
This sweater is one of my absolute favorite recent purchases. I love the classic print and super soft material, not to mention the affordable price tag!
I must confess that this is the first pair of Ugg boots I’ve owned… and I’m obsessed! They’re no doubt an investment but I do at least finally get what all the fuss is about 🙂
One of the things that I like best about this particular pair is the detail on the back, which lends a nice elegant touch.
As for my coat, it’s ridiculously warm and cozy. The quilted chevron design is really flattering too. Am I the only one fearful about looking like the stay puft marshmallow man in a puffer jacket?! Well the cut of this one is actually quite slimming! It comes in six colors and right now you can get it on sale for under $100, which is a fantastic deal.
