Winter Pastels: A Pop of Lilac

Winter Pastels: A Pop of Lilac

Hello friends! Anyone else ready for January to be over?? I’m not sure why, but it always seems to drag on longer than any other month. Add to that the fact that it’s been uncharacteristically dreary here in Atlanta for the last few weeks. Maybe some cheery winter pastels will brighten my mood even if the weather isn’t cooperating!

Pastels are set to be a big trend for Spring, so I feel as though I’m getting a head start with my lilac coat. This one comes in a variety of colors and is just one of those classic silhouettes that will never go out of fashion.

My style is usually pretty casual, but I always feel a little polished and extra ladylike when I wear this coat. A bit more la-di-dah than normal 🙂

One of my favorite colors to pair with lilac in the winter is grey. You could definitely swap out the jeans in this outfit for grey denim, or some grey trousers. I opted for these sweet flats and neutral plaid scarf (that I wear all the time!).

The thing I like about wearing pastels at this time of year is that it’s a definite nod to the fact that spring is just around the corner. Warmer temps and longer days are coming – woohoo!

So I plan on adding a few transitional items in pastel shades, like a nice lightweight sweater and some cute trainers. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite picks below.
