Warm and Cozy Gift Guide

Who else is planning to do some serious holiday shopping this weekend? I’ve been unusually organized this year, and managed to get quite a bit taken care of already, but there always seems to be more to do! And right now when it comes to gifts, I’m loving all things warm and cozy.

While summer is hands down my favorite season, I do also like winter in Georgia. The days are typically still bright and sunny, and the air is crisp and fresh. We often get snow… but not too much.

It’s also around this time of year that I usually start to irritate my husband by complaining about feeling the cold. Let the thermostat wars commence!

As much as I begrudge the cooler temps, I must admit that I enjoy the opportunity to wrap up and get cozy. There’s something so satisfying about staying home when it’s freezing cold outside.

You’ve probably heard of the Danish concept “Hygge” by now. If not, you can read about it in more detail here, but in short, it refers to a sense of comfort and coziness derived from the simpler things in life. Imagine sitting in front of crackling fire, wrapped in a blanket, reading your favorite book, while drinking a hot cup of tea… that’s Hygge (pronounced “hoo-ga”).

Hygge has caught on as a huge lifestyle trend with good reason. It’s given us a name for that comforting feeling and style that we all love! And that’s why a warm and cozy gift is sure to be a hit.

Here’s my wishlist of Hygge-inspired essentials to gift to your favorite people, or just to keep yourself nice and stylishly snug as the temperatures drop 🙂
