Ahh Spring… thank goodness you’ve at long last arrived! We’ve been teased these past few weeks with a day of sunshine here, a break from the chilly temps there… and then back to freezing, grrr. But the dogwood and cherry trees are finally adorned with beautiful blossoms. It’s time to pack away the sweaters and bring out the sandals.
As always, I’m looking forward to adding a few new accessories to my collection this spring. I’ll definitely be incorporating a little more color, after months of mainly neutrals. And I’m hoping to pick up some more fun and playful items too.
Firstly, jewelry. Acrylic pieces are very much in style at the moment, and I love the simple elegance of this pair of white hoop earrings. I’ll also be wearing lots of dainty layered necklaces like this one now that they won’t be lost under sweaters and coats.
I’d definitely like to pick up a few pretty hair accessories too. My hair has FINALLY (just about) grown back in after some fairly significant postpartum hair loss, so I feel as though I should be making more of it. I’m loving all the cute scrunchies, wraps and hair ties in the shops right now.
I’m so glad that straw and rattan bags are still in style this year. I got a small crossbody last year, but this year I’d like something a bit bigger like this one. Perfect for hitting the shops or the beach!
And lastly, I know that shoes don’t technically count as accessories, but I had had to sneak a few pairs in because… well, I have a shoe obsession… send help! How fun are these rainbow slide sandals?? (they also come in a gorgeous snake print!). Espadrille sandals like these are also a favorite at this time of year.
