Easy Neutrals for Summer 2020

Easy Neutrals for Summer 2020

I’ve talked a lot on this blog about my gradual transition towards a more minimalist lifestyle and this is a tendency that definitely extends to my wardrobe too. Not only have I spent considerable time paring down my closet to include only the items that I need and love most, but I’ve also made updates to simplify the overall color palette of my clothes.

In the past for me at least, summer has always been synonymous with bright colors and tropical prints. But lately I’ve found myself drawn more and more to soft, neutral hues instead. I find that there’s something both calming and effortlessly chic about neutrals. Not to mention that it makes putting an outfit together a cinch!

Fortunately the shops are full of lovely, not-at-all-boring neutral pieces this year. And while neutrals are definitely a strong trend for summer 2020, many of the pieces have a timeless quality about them and will serve as great closet staples.

This is not to say that I won’t be hanging on to a few statement items and pops of color, but my personal style is definitely evolving towards a more clean and simple and look.

What’s on my current wishlist? I’m on the look out for some comfy wide-leg pants and a few good quality tees in different neutral shades. I also can’t seem to resist jumpsuits and rompers these days, so might just add one more to my collection!
