One of these days I’ll be able to write an outfit post without mentioning the weather. But that won’t be today I’m afraid. I blame the British in me – I think it might be impossible for us not to make small talk about it. In any case, the climate here in Atlanta continues to baffle me. We’re well into October now and there’s still no sign of a proper cool down. Don’t get me wrong – I’ll be complaining no end once it starts to get too chilly. But for the time being, I have to admit that I’m longing for more opportunities to break out the fall outfits.
And of course one of my favorite things about fall fashion is the sweaters! There are just so many great options in the shops right now. Oversized, colorblock, tunic… you name it, I’ll be wearing it 🙂
When I saw this cute fringe sweater, I just couldn’t resist. I love how the fringe detail takes this classic cable knit style up a notch. I’m also finding it difficult to say no to a good grey sweater at the moment! This one runs true to size and is fairly form fitting, but you could certainly size up for a more oversized look.
I decided to pair mine with my favorite busted knee skinny jeans and booties that I wear just about everywhere. These jeans are among the most comfy and flattering I own – they do run small though, so I’d recommend sizing up. My booties sold out incredibly quickly, and hopefully Nordstrom will restock them soon, but in the meantime, I’ve linked a few similar options here, here and here.
Before I go, I also need to mention my bag. I’ve been showing it off constantly on Instagram because I adore it so! Not only is the color a perfect autumnal green, but the knot detail on the handles is such a unique touch.
