8 Amazing Beauty Products to Grab on Your Next Target Run

Best beauty products to buy at Target

More or less everybody that knows me well, or reads this blog on a regular basis, will be familiar with my love of Target. I spend far too much time and money there. A trip to Target without the kids, definitely counts as “me time”. And like many of us, I often end up sneaking unplanned purchases into the shopping cart. They get swallowed up into the grocery budget, haha. While it’s typically clothes, I’ve more recently been adding a few makeup and skincare items too.

What I love most about these products is that they’re not only effective, but also affordable. I don’t even need to use the Red Card discount to justify my purchases (does anyone else do this?!!). I’m still a huge fan of Sephora for a lot of my beauty needs, but it’s hard to shop there without blowing the budget! All the while, the selection along Target’s beauty aisles just seems to be getting better and better.

Here’s a round up of some of my favorite hair, make-up and skincare goodies to snag while you’re doing the Target run.

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advance Serum ($25.99)

I remember the huge fuss over this product in England when, almost a decade ago, clinical trials proved that it really does reduce wrinkles. People were queuing up outside Boots (the drugstore that owns the No7 brand, and incidentally where I had my first ever job!) to get hold of a tube.

Not only that, but Protect & Perfect is the only serum allowed by the UK’s Advertising Standards Agency to make the claim that its anti-aging results get even better, the longer you stick with it.

Simply put, this stuff works! I personally love the day cream too.

Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic ($15)

Best beauty products to buy at TargetThere’s a good reason that Glow Tonic is on nearly everyone’s list of favorites. This wonderful toner, which uses glycolic acid to gently exfoliate the skin, along with aloe vera to soothe it, does amazing things for the complexion.

I’ve been guilty of neglecting the toner step in my skincare routine over the years, but this product from across the pond is so good that it’s definitely got me back on track.

Ella + Mila Nail Polish ($10.49)

Best beauty products to buy at TargetMove over Essie, there’s a new favorite in my life! Seriously, I can’t tell you how much I adore this polish. I so rarely have time for the nail salon these days, that I’m always on the lookout for anything that will make my at home manis that bit nicer.

There are a couple of things to love about Ella + Mila. Firstly, they are “7 free”, which means that they’re not made with seven harmful chemicals found in other nail polishes. So I can also paint my girls’ teeny tiny nails without fear 🙂

Secondly, this stuff dries really fast, which saves me from smudging it like I usually do!

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo ($3.59)

I have to admit that I was a little late to the party when it came to discovering the wonder that is dry shampoo. But now there’s no going back, and I do love this particular one.

I have annoyingly fine hair (which is still partly growing back in after A LOT of postpartum hair loss!) and this product does a great job of adding some lift and texture. It also adds just the right amount of grip for when I want to throw my hair up into a bun.

Perhaps the icing on the cake though is the scent, which is just divine and makes me feel like I’m on holiday!

Honest Beauty Truly Kissable Lip Crayon ($18)

I don’t always wear lip color, but when I do, I want something that’s easy to use and feels comfortable. This product ticks both of those boxes and comes in a great selection of pretty shades.

In case you didn’t know, Honest Beauty is Jessica Alba’s line of safe and eco-friendly beauty products.

I really do like this lip crayon, especially since it’s free of chemicals. This is the first Honest Beauty product I’ve tried and I’m looking forward to testing out some more!

Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity Facial Wash ($10.99)

Best beauty products to buy at TargetYes, another British brand 🙂

I’m not being biased though, I promise. This face wash just happens to be really good. It smells great, leaves my skin clean and smooth, and helps keep breakouts at bay. What’s not to love??

Make P:rem Layering Me. Firming Mask ($6.99)

Best beauty products to buy at TargetK-Beauty products are insanely popular at the moment and Target has a fantastic selection. I’d been wanting to try a sheet mask for a while, so was thrilled when Target delivered. And at this price, it’s the perfect impulse buy!

This particular one uses two layered masks to lift and tighten the skin. I have to admit that the look while wearing it is a bit silly, but the results are worth it. My skin felt more taught and looked quite radiant after using it.

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm AP+ ($19.99)

Best beauty products to buy at Target

If you happen to suffer from dry skin like me, then this intensive body moisturizer is for you! I recently received a sample to try and have been a devotee ever since. It’s a lovely, thick, luxurious cream, and when they say that it provides long-lasting hydration, they’re not kidding! This is another product that’s suitable for use on children too.

Apparently the brand is a cult favorite in Europe and it would seem with good reason. I can’t wait to try out a few more of their products.

So there you go – the beauty aisle just gave us yet another great reason to visit to our local Target (as if we needed it!).

And now it’s over to you. What are you favorite beauty items to buy at Target? What do I need to try? Let me know in the comments!

I wish we have Target in Dubai, but I can actually pick some of these products elsewhere. I am keen on trying la Roche Posay cream, pixi glow tonic and Soap & Glory vit C wash. They seem amazing.

Yes, so many of these are international products that I’m sure they can be found at other retailers. I’d love to visit Dubai one day!

Yaas! Love the Pixie and Not Your Mother’s products! Always looking for a good face mask recommendation, though, so I’ll put it on the list. Also glad to know I’m not the only mom who considers a kid-free trip to Target like a vacation!
